Square Enix to use ADX2’s HCA codecs in own sound engine
Square Enix, famous for games such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest has signed an umbrella contract with CRI Middleware, allowing them to use the high-performance HCA codec included in ADX2 directly in their in-house sound technology.
Square Enix games have always been renowned for their mesmerizing compositions and more generally their excellence in audio. There is no doubt that using HCA will contribute to help perpetuating this tradition, thanks to its high-compression, high-quality, and low-CPU load characteristics, be it for AAA or mobile games.
To learn more about HCA, check our blog about ADX2 ‘s Proprietary Codecs.
