Tokyo Game Show 2024

The Tokyo Game Show (TGS) was held from the 26th to the 29th of September at the Makuhari Messe.  This year, CRI Middleware was present in both the gaming hardware and the business solutions areas.

On the hardware front, CRI SOLIDAS, which relies on compact circuitry and processing software to produce sounds, was introduced. It was used in two types of Pioneer gaming speakers of the Sound Tector line, and visitors could experience high audio quality while playing Sega’s Sonic x Shadow Generation and Bandai Namco’s Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

As for business solutions, the exhibition was the perfect opportunity for us to introduce CRI Clovis, our new network video playback middleware that enables streaming playback on game consoles and smartphones.

We also demonstrated Sound xR for ADX (via a demo from Historia). This technology allows listeners to experience high-quality spatial sound on regular stereo headphones. You can learn more about Sound xR in ADX in this post.

We also presented the new real-time AI translation feature of TeleXus, a considerable plus for our middleware that both expands and enhances online communication. This comes in addition to TeleXus’ spatial audio and speaker separation features, which already allow for the simulation of realistic conversations.
