CRIWARE at CEDEC 2025
As every year, CRI Middleware will exhibit at CEDEC 2025, Japan’s largest game developers’ conference. This year’s theme is “Innovating Fun”. The event will take place a bit earlier than usual, from July 22 to July 24 at the Pacifico Yokohama North, bringing together industry professionals to explore cutting-edge advancements and best practices in game development, both during lectures and on the exhibition floor.
Latest tools
We will be showcasing the latest innovations in our middleware solutions.
Visitors will be able to see the newest version of Atom Craft, CRI ADX‘s audio authoring tool, which features a revamped mixer and enhanced routing for spatial audio.
They will also be able to try out VIractal an upcoming cooperative game by Sting, in which the voice chat is powered by CRI TeleXus, our communication middleware. This game is also a good way to experience Sound xR, the spatial audio technology in CRI ADX.
We will also introduce real-world use cases of CRI Clovis, our video streaming middleware, which is reshaping in-game video delivery.
Finally, we will give an exclusive preview of the upcoming Video Frame Interpolation for Remastering in OPTPiX ImageStudio.
Sessions
We will also be hosting two sponsor sessions, focusing on sound design and the use of communication middleware in real-world game development.
Amplifying Cooperative Gameplay with Sound and Voice Chat
July 22 – 16:40 to 17:40 (Session Room 11)
The session dives into the sound and voice design of VIractal, a new cooperative RPG launching this summer. Attendees will learn how CRI ADX and CRI TeleXus were used to craft a deeply immersive multiplayer experience.
Young Devs x Sound Design – Behind the Scenes with CRI ADX
July 24 – 15:00 to 16:00 (Session Room 11)
This session will spotlight how a team of young developers at Bandai Namco Studios tackled sound implementation challenges across three major titles (Hirogami, The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors – Song for Prism, EXCYCLE). Through practical examples, the team will share how they used Atom Craft to overcome production bottlenecks and deliver high-quality game audio.
We are looking forward to meeting you at CEDEC 2025!
